Sun City Texas

The Second Art and Photography Contest of the Round Rock Arts Guild was a huge success.  They titled it “Imagine,” and the range of entries was both broad and impressive.  Three Sun City Photography Club members won “Acceptances.”  They are: 

Vicki Martin with one:       Glady-Hola Morning 

Holly Moore with one:      Dance of the Poppies 

Ruby Pecot with three:     My Favorite Martian, Shall We Dance? & Smoky Illusions 

The Round Rock group is almost new, having just begun life two years ago.  Their group and contest are open to all types of art media from people who “live in the area.”  This includes both two and three dimensional works of art.  Their Artist Reception (and Exhibit Hall) is the most impressive event in the area.  The Exhibition was in the Texas State University Building on East University Blvd (east of IKEA.)  This is an event that is certain to grow in prestige and participation in future years, so put it on your calendar for next February.
